My London's Favorite Restuarant & Bar | Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill

As I have mentioned in the previous posting of the London Hyatt Regency London the Churchill, this is the dining part of the Hyatt Regency! I will introduce to you the Montagu restaurant and the Churchill bar at the first floor.
Even if you do not stay of the Hyatt Regency hotel, it is a great place to stop by so I am posting this as a good dining and hot place at London! Since it is close to Oxford Street and Marble Arch station, it would be great to come by after your shopping.

The restaurant The Montagu located on the first floor of the London hotel Hyatt Regency London the Churchill.
It is a English restaurant with the special elegant and classic atmosphere of the Hyatt hotel. After a busy day, it was a great place to enjoy a great meal with the comfortable service provided by the hotel. The Portman Square view outside the window is also a part of the wonderful dining experience.

The menu I ordered was a three course dinner set menu. 2 course and 3 course menus were served for lunches and dinners. When you are not sure about what to order, I trust the set menus. The results were a great satisfaction considering the price. The taste and quality were amazing. The photo is of the first appetizer platter in the first course. I could not help myself but to take a lot of photos.

The second dinner course menu was steak. Our dreadfully tired bodies and souls were energized by the meat. With the soft and juicy meat and slightly sweet and salty sauce served together, it was the perfect match. The end of the dinner set was a sweet dessert. This makes up for your 30 pounds, doesn’t it?

The menu that my friend ordered was pork belly. It was a very thick grilled pork dish. It was amazing that pork could taste this elevated. It definitely satisfied our taste buds. The flavor is going to suit anyone and the size of the menus are also quite large.

The open kitchen of the Montagu. A unique part of this is the seat called the Chef’s Table that looks straight into the kitchen. Also known as the front row of the kitchen, maximum 8 people can be seated to taste the special dishes prepared by the chef. It costs 75 pounds per person (not including 12.5% tax) with a wine pairing selected by the sommelier.

The second place I would like to introduce to you is the Churchill Bar.

This place is an award winning bar that was designed with inspirations from Churchill and his wife Clementine. It is also very popular in London. This place actually has books, photos, dolls, and love letters owned by Churchill. The interior design reflects upon Churchill’s life. The symbolic meaning with the atmosphere and spot on cocktails seemed to fill this place up every night.

Back at the Churchill bar late at night. It has become spectacular.
As you could expect at an award winning bar, you could get your hands on some rare cocktails. The subtle lights are also romantic!

The second cocktail was ocean bottle.
It was a cocktail made with inspiration from an old classic story of placing a letter inside a glass bottle then floating it in the ocean. Isn’t this perfect story telling with a single cocktail?

Inside the transparent bottle, a cocktail is inside and you will receive a small note in the bottle. It had the famous words of Winston Churchill, “I only drink champagne when in love. And when not” It was a very special cocktail as special as the compass cocktail.

Since we were high on cocktails, we also had fondue as dessert! What a view!

Since it was late at night, I shouldn’t have indulged but I could not stay away from this sweet temptation. From strawberries to pineapples, and deadly sweet marshmallows and small pie sticks. Drop them in the chocolate and enjoy your sweet tooth. I could not make up if I was drunk on the atmosphere or the sweetness. It was just a great time.

>> Since it is a very popular place, you have to order more than 30 pounds per person after 4 PM. In addition, cigars are sold at the outdoor terrace so if you are sensitive to this smell, you should be aware!
