RekayStyle: 2017 NEW GENTLE MONSTER SUNGLASS

Another week to look forward to with a merry Christmas! You would have known if you saw my Rekaystyle instagram last week that I’ve been to Tokyo for 4 days on a business trip. It was a quick trip with a tight schedule that I was very busy without any moment to enjoy the holiday vibes. Even though I was tired, the fashion and streets of Tokyo with its coolness and lifestyle energized Rekay inside out.

Tokyo doesn’t seem to follow a single trend but is a place where individual preferences and style coexist.

I was able to receive many motivations about my own style, personality, and styling that reflects my character. These are all the basic traits of a fashionista. There are probably various ways to do so, but Rekay cannot leave out the sunglass styling. In any outfit or style, the one and only fashion accessory that can complete and upgrade everything is sunglass.

The technical part of blocking UV rays is basic. Beyond styling that hides your face. When you need bold and cool sunglasses that catch attention and add pose.

The 2017 S/S collection of Korea’s representative sunglass brand Gentle Monster was revealed. They always make us awe with edgy and witty designs. Among the collection, I chose the FlatBa Line with very flat lenses and frame as well as attractive tinted lenses. It has the strongest pose among this season.

With flat lenses and frame that seemed to be carved, this combination features an innovative design that has never been seen in the present. With a detailed and luxurious finish that makes it feel like the lenses and frame is a whole, it is a design that is modern and minimal. It can be said that it is the most updated sunglass design form.

The sunglass model that Rekay chose among the FlatBa line is Black Peter[HERE]. It is a design that has a soft and feminine retro feeling with a round frame. The vintage color of the tinted lenses can be said to be the main of the Black Peter line. It feels like a pair of color glasses on the boundaries between glasses and sunglasses. It can be said that it is definitely the hottest sunglass trend of this season. The lense tinted with soft color, deep and attractive eyes can be exhibited. It is the must-have item of a cool girl. It is also the first product exhibited by actress Jeon Jihyun, who is the actress that comes to our mind when we think of Gentle Monster. She wore it in the drama Legend of the Blue Sea.

S1 model of Black Peter looks different in every angle based on the shadows with the addition of light brown tint color with lovely indi pink and the metallic reflective lenses. It is an attractive color that makes a rosy toned face.
